SUSTAINABILITY AT SOLARIS 2024
How is Solaris delivering on its climate, social, and governance goals? The new publication “Solaris Sustainability 2024” offers a clear and accessible summary of the company’s ESG efforts. It demonstrates how environmental responsibility, care for people, and high standards of corporate governance translate into tangible results and innovations in public transport.
We are pleased to present “Solaris Sustainability 2024” – a concise overview of Solaris Group’s key ESG initiatives. The document outlines how the company is implementing an ambitious, externally audited plan to achieve climate neutrality by 2045, applying environmental, social, and governance principles across the entire value chain.
Sustainability today is not just a declaration of responsibility – it is a foundation of corporate competitiveness and a key factor shaping the future of cities. At Solaris, we treat it as a compass for development, enabling us to create lasting value for our customers, employees, and business partners.

2024: AMBITIOUS GOALS, CONCRETE RESULTS
In the past year, Solaris reduced greenhouse gas emissions in scopes 1 and 2 by 68.2%, and in scope 3 by 42.6% compared to the 2019 baseline. This is the result of a consistently implemented decarbonization strategy, covering both production processes and vehicle usage by customers.

In 2024, the company delivered the world’s first series-produced bus with a battery passport – the Solaris Urbino 18 electric. This innovation enhances transparency and accountability in raw material management and supports customers in achieving their own environmental goals. Zero- and low-emission buses accounted for 83% of last year’s sales, confirming that Solaris not only meets market needs but actively shapes its direction. This role is further affirmed by prestigious industry awards: “Bus of the Year 2025” for the Urbino 18 hydrogen and “Sustainable Bus Award 2025” for the Urbino 12 electric.

The company updated its analysis of environmental and social impacts, identified key climate risks and opportunities, and reinforced ESG responsibility throughout the supply chain – including an updated Supplier Code of Conduct and continued ESG assessments via the EcoVadis platform.

In the social sphere, Solaris continued its commitment to employee development and fostering an inclusive work environment. The company hired 550 new employees, and over 12% of the team received promotions – both vertical and lateral.
