On June 6, 2023, at Solaris company’s booth, a press briefing took place, during which President Javier Iriarte discussed several important topics.
First, he summarized the past six months and the sales statistics of buses in 2022. Solaris is a unique company among bus manufacturers in Europe due to its widest range of emission-free solutions. The order portfolio already amounts to 3,000 emission-free buses, with over 2,000 of them already operating on the streets of dozens of cities across Europe.
Javier Iriarte announced the premiere of an articulated electric bus with high-capacity batteries placed on the roof. This enhancement will make Solaris’ offering even more flexible.
Furthermore, Solaris CEO addressed the company’s plans, which include Solaris’ expansion in the zero-emission intercity bus segment in Europe, as well as entering the North American market with a range of electric city buses. These strategic steps aim to increase the company’s presence and promote sustainable mobility on a global scale.
